Help pairing Sony TV with XR2 remote

I recently bought a Sony Bravia 60" smartTV model W630. I connected the cable box to the TV(using hdmi) and I'm getting signal; however, I have tried all the codes from the website in my XR2 remote control without luck(a couple give me the green light which supposly means it was pair correctly). Does anyone know a solution for this? A code that really works. It's anyone to have to use the Tv control to turn it on and volumen control and the xr2 xfinity remote control to change channels only

Re: Help pairing Sony TV with XR2 remote

I have a similar problem with using the XR2 remote with my Sony HD TV.  The remote will turn the TV off but not on, nor control volumn.  All remote control functions work perfectly on the Set Top Box (this is not a DTA).

I also noticed there are a lot of posts of complaints when trying to program for a Sony TV.  Why?

Re: Help pairing Sony TV with XR2 remote

Try this -Hold setup until the "all power " bottom turns green. Enter 9 9 1 and then hit the channel up button . The tv should turn off right away (mine did ) . Once it shuts off hit the set up button again until the all power button flashes green. Once it does you should be able to hit the tv button and it will turn on and the volumn buttons will work too.

Good luck

Re: Help pairing Sony TV with XR2 remote

Just as an fyi, I ended up going to a xfinity store and got a new remote control. That fixed the issue.

This worked great.  Wasted 2 hours of my life trying and retrying codes from manuals.  Thank you.
