When opening my xfinity web browser, the home page appears to load three seperate times, i.e., loads, screen goes black, loads again, screen goes black, then finally loads for good. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? If I'm not on the right forum, please tell me on which forum this should be posted.
Try clearing out your browser's cache/browsing history. When you have done that, close out the browser and re-start it in a fresh session. If that doesn't do it, then try using a different browser.
Thank you for your reply. I have set the "Internet Options" to "Delete Browsing History on exit". I've also checked, in the "Advanced" tab, "Closed unused folders in History and Favorites" and "Empty Temporary internet files folder when browser is closed", and still experience the same problem. Is there any other options that I could change to elimate the three-load problem?
Next thing I would try is to reset the browser to original specs. Also, are you running any extensions or themes etc? If so, disable them and see if the problem persists.
One other thing to keep in mind----------periodically check to see that you are running the most recent version of your browser. But yeah, a lot of times when weird stuff like that suddenly starts happening, the first thing I suspect is something going on with the browser.
