I thought the battery on the Comcast modems only ran the phone section? If you want full Internet access for computers and WiFi, you should use an external UPS (Uninteruptible Power Supply).

I agree with this 100%. Mine is set up this way. I need the UPS for my computer and peripherals anyhow so I bought a big UPS with extended run time.
