receiving and sending email

I have 3 people using this computer, each with an email address and password.  Two of them are receiving and sending email without any problems.  One cannot send or receive email because their password is marked "invalid"  (error code 0x800CCC92).  I have gone thru the "account" setup and all of the information is exactly the same as the other two users, except for the name and password, yet this one person is not able to retrieve their email from comcast.

I followed the instructions of the Comcast agent thru a chat and those instructions did not resolve my problem.  Any suggestions?

Run SCANPST on their PST file and see if it fixes the problem.


Scanpst.exe is on the computer location depends on version of Outlook.


you can use search to find it.

Have you tried changing the password fir that account!

On the homepage, left side, scroll down to QUICK LINKS  then click on RESET PASSWORD.


Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

Sorry!  I don't have access to Outlook with the Windows 7 OS.  I am limited to Windows Live Mail.  Will you're suggestion work with Windows Live Mail?
