outlook 2016 and cannot send comcast emails

I use Outlook 2016 on windows 10. Have had no issues. All of a sudden over the weekend I could not send. All emails come in but won't go out. I've got the email set up as a POP3 which I have forever. I've tried various server ports for the smtp out- 465, 575, 587 and none of them work. I get various responses...one asks me for my email again, another says:

Send test email message: Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.

 

I called comcast yesterday...a woman tried to help...and said she would call back- give her an hour. Well....we all know that did not happen.

Any help would be appreicated. I do NOT want to delete my email and reinstall. I've got over 100K emails in it I use for work- and that process of backing up and reinstalling takes forever.
