Is it ok to shut down xfinity modem at nightt or should it be on 24/7?

I leave mine on 24/7 but I am up all hours of the night and I might want to use my smartphone's wifi.

 

There really is no reason to bother with turning it off and on.

Turn it off whenever you can.  The more you can reduce your exposrue to wireless signals, the better.
