I changed my Xfinity password which was the ticket to 2 days in customer support for Comcast and Apple. Both the phone and iMac returning error messages and refusing to send. Finally the phone is working, but now messages sent from the desktop just go to the Outbox and stay there. No error message, just no action. Thanks for any help!
I assume you changed the password for the Mail Account - do you have Two Step Verification enabled?
