keep email address when moving

Moving into home with another xfinity customer,  Can I keep my same email address if i discontinue my internet service and log on under their account?

Re: keep email address when moving

Unfortunately no.  Your Comcast email/user ID is associated as the login credential for the old account if you cancel service.  When you do that, the ID is suspended for 90 days and then dumped into the pool of available IDs for any other Comcast customer that wants it.  If you were transferring service under your own name to a new location it would be a different story.

The Comcast customer at the new address could add you to their account as a secondary user, but it would be with a different email address/user ID.  After the 90 days is up you could try to retrieve the old address to see if anyone else is using it though.  Then you could use it as a secondary account, but understand that even if you can do so, the person who is the primary account holder owns that email account.
