ipv6 /60 prefix

Hello,

I have set the ipv6 prefix hint to /60 on my pfsense router. After a router and a modem power cycle, i am still getting an /64 for my LAN (/128 for my WAN). How can i get a /60 for my residential connection?

Thanks

Re: ipv6 /60 prefix

It has been suggested in the past that in order to change your prefix length you need to change your DHCP6-DUID, or possibly contact Comcast to have them de-associate your ID.  Otherwise the DHCP system will detect the ID and issue the same lease with the same prefix, ignoring the requested prefix value.
