What I described should work.  Try clearing your browser's cache/browsing history, then close it out and restart it in a fresh session.

Thanks for replying, but neither of those things worked for me.  I used to be able to hover over the inbox and see the total nr. of emails, but it doesn't do that any more. 

I was able to scroll thru all the emails, then I click on the last one and on the top it says what number it is.  So it's a little inconvenient, but it works.

Assuming you are on the new email format, just hover your mouse pointer over the Inbox folder and you should see the total and the unread total.  If you are still on the old format, the total number of messages in the folder will be at the far right end of the toolbar.

Is there a way to see how many total emails I have in my in-box (not just unread ones)?
