deleted trash email

My trash folder deletion preferences are set at 30 days ( and have been set that way for years; I've confirmed and re-confirmed this setting multiple times). But on 11/1/2017, I discovered that all trash emails prior to 10/25/2017 had been deleted and that I had only 6 or 7 days of trashed emails in the folder. After 20 minutes on the phone with Comcast customer service on that date, with several holds for the agent to communicate with other agents, she told me that this was a system-wide problem and that Comcast was "aware of it" and "working on it." Nothing has changed and today (11/4/2017) my trash folder goes back only to 10/29/2017. Comcast needs to fix this promptly, restore all my trashed emails back through 10/2/2017 and immediately email or phone me to confirm that the problem is fixed and my trash emails have been properly restored.

Re: deleted trash email

I have not seen anything about any system-wide issue with the Trash folder.  You can set deletion schedules in the old email format.  When you are migrated to the new one though, emails in the Trash folder are kept 14 days, and that cannot be changed.  Right-click on the Trash folder, then on "Recover Deleted Items".  Are any of the missing messages in there?
