Advertising on email account

Everytime I try to log into my email account I have an advertisement from Kroger that pops up and there does not seem to be any way around it or escape it.

I do not have a Kroger store in my neighborhood. I am not interested in anything Kroger has to offer. Yet I have to log into my account and go in through a back door to get around this advertisement.

It is not like this is a free account I pay about 200.00 a month for my Xfinity service.

I want to know how to get that ad off my email permanantly!

Re: advertising on email account

All ISPs use advertising for the revenue stream. You do have some control over what ads you see. Underneath any ad on the right side of the screen, click on "Ad Info". Or just go to this link-------------

http://xfinity.comcast.net/adinformation/

That will explain how you can opt out of some, but not all advertising. Or-----use a browser add-on called "AdBlock Plus". That will supposedly eliminate all of them. An even better option would be to use an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail. That way you don't even have to look at the Comcast UI, and no ads.
