Xfinity xFi. Unable to access via mobile app

I upgraded my modem yesterday and the xfinity xfi app does not work. Called support twice and was told they are escalating it and I would get a call back. No call in two days. Anyone have any ideas? Says I need to upgrade modem and app freezes.

Hi Rpasko, I apologize for the delayed response! It looks like you do have an xFi capable Gateway, but it may not have the latest firmware. I have located the open xFi ticket on your account and have reached out to see if we can get it moving along. Someone from care should be reaching out soon.
