Hello. I am not sure if I am on the right board, but I currently have Comcast's modem.  I was old by a representative I could purchase my own.  IF I do this, will I get the same speed as I presenty do with using their modem?  Thanks so much for any help.

Yes if you get a modem that is capable of that speed tier. Go here and enter the requested info and see;
