Xfi heat

My first Xfi gateway modem tripped the intenal thermal siwtch and shut down.  It was extreamly hot to the touch.  I took it back and got a replacement.  The replacement is working good but I am wondering about the heat generated by this unit.  I taped my digital oven theromenter to the front and it is running a constant 109 degrees f.  I can hear the fan running.  Is this normal?

Re: Xfi heat

I just checked my XB6 gateway and it's running @ ~103F. So I guess it's a normal operating temp.
