XFi faster speedtest speeds but slower actual speeds

I recently upgraded to the XFi gateway, and once installed the first thing I did was run a speed test on speedtest.net, which resulted in DL and UL speeds that were considerably above what I had before. However, oddly enough, the actual experience of browsing seems to be slower than it was before. For example, on my iPhone I can run a speed test and get easily 150Mbit DL. Then I can visit YouTube and videos take considerably longer than they should to load. Even website images load over a couple of seconds. The only thing I can think of would have to do with the XFi app and maybe something not being set up correctly there, but I'd think if that were the case the speed test wouldn't show such high numbers. This is quite the mystery. Can anyone provide any direction?
