Hi Tilleyjr. I just want to confirm your internet speed issue is isolated to just your WiFi connection, are you able to connect your computer directly to the modem and perform a speed test hardwired?
If your issue is solely WiFi, then the tips EG provided explain what in your home could be causing poor wireless internet reception, and things you can do to improve it.
There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !
I'm so frustrated with Comcast's wireless support. My download speed is only 49 mbps (should be at least 80) and just spent a couple of hours between live chat and phone to have them run a bunch of tests and tell me I needed to call Microsoft or someone else because I may need a plug in or something. Very hard to understand the individual on the phone. Has anyone else had problems with slow internet connections.
