Using your own router and creating a wifi password

I have recently activated my xfinity account. I am using a ARRIS Surfboard SBG6700-ac router/modem. I am looking to see if it is possible to secure my xfinity wifi. Right now it is an open network, but I am not looking to let anybody use the internet. Is there a way to set up wifi password through xfinity?

With customer owned devices, you have to do that on your own. Follow the manufacturers instructions for that device.
