Thank you for that input. With that information, I was able to rule it out and zero-in on real reason why the port was blocked; the firewall installed on the company computer.
I purchased an Arris TM822G cable modem about 3 years ago to replace the one I had been renting from Comcast. Overall, it has been working well. Recently, I have had the need to enable TCP port forwarding so I can access one of machines from the WAN side. I believe I have configured port forwarding correctly for my router (Archer W7) but the port seems to be blocked. I can log in to my router from the WAN side, so port 8080 is getting through, but other ports are not. Does anybody know if the TM822G has the capability of blocking some ports and allowing others to pass?
