Static IP address

I'd like to add (Purchase) a block of Static IP addresses for my X1 service.  It is a residential service since I'm unable to get Business service at this address.  Does anyone know if this is possible.  I'm hearing yes and no. So?  Should it not be available is there a workaround?

Re: Static IP address

I can't speak authoritatively but sometimes they make exceptions for residences to get Business Class accounts. For static IP's you need a B.C. account and you need to use their Business Class gateway device. Have you talked to their customer service reps ?

Re: Static IP address

If you dont mind why do you need a static address?  EG is correct you would need a business class modem for static addresses..
