Emails come to my account with fake addresses.  They include my first name plus madeup last names.  How do these get through to my supposed secure account?  How can I change a setting to only allow Mail addressed to me?

It sounds like your email address or name is being "spoofed".  It is very easy for spammers to make it look like emails are coming to or from you when they are not.  If that is the case there is nothing you can do but wait it out.  Spammers will usually use your name/address for a while and then move on to bother someone else.  You could try setting up a filter to do what you described.  On the Inbox page, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page then on Settings>>>>>.Filter Rules, and follow the prompts.  But using filters to try and defeat spam is usually a lost cause.
