Slow Internet

I stream internet music while working around the house.  If I try using my wi fi connection on my phone it spends more time buffering than playing music.  I turn off wi fi and use LTE speed on my phone and it works great.  Being new to the service and used to 500-700 speeds at my prior residence, does anyone have the same problem.
