Re: Receiving Mail But Not Able To Send Mail Using Macbook Laptop And MacMail

Thanks.....but I should not have to change anything in the Settings because it has always worked for me up until the last few days. So the settings were just fine.

Your outgoing server should be SMTP.comcast.net

Port should be 465 WITH SSL ON

This server. Requires authentication  must be checked.

Your Incoming for IMAP should be.

imap.comcast.net for the server

Port should be 993 WITH SSL ON

Receiving Mail But Not Able To Send Mail Using Macbook Laptop And MacMail

Seems I can still receive email but not able to send email all of a sudden and have not changed anything. Using iMap. I had the outgoing port setting at 900 something and saw on Comcast site it should be 547 I think. I changed it and still no luck.

Not sure why I would have to change anything at all, because up until the last couple of days I was sending emails with no problem.

Thanks for any help and support!
