Re: no more file sharing with new modem

I just installed the Technicolor CGM4140COM.  My SMB shares are fine, but RDP appears to be blocked, as well as network advertising because only one old Vista machine appears in the Network group.  The four computers on my desk apparently are being isolated by Xfinity decree.

I'll have to hook up monitors and keyboards long enough to set up VNC on them I guess.

Make sure through network and sharing center that the network says under the name “Home Network”

Re: no more file sharing with new modem

The primary machine was showing a private network, it wasn't until I connected monitors to the others that I saw they'd assumed public and weren't allowing RDP.
