Re: SB6121 issues with heavy uploading

Wow! I am in pretty much the same boat!  Same SB6121 modem, and I've only started having connectivity issues when I switch on Backblaze to start my new cloud service backups. Within a day, often within an hour or two, I wil llose connectivity.  But if I switch OFF backblaze - the connection is solid for at least a week.

Is it just Xfinity not wanting users to upload their backups to the cloud?  Or is there really something wrong with the modem?  I have been a dropbox user for years and upload large files to that regulary without issue. But click on Babcblaze to start backing up my files and WHAMMO!

Eh? I back up to Google Drive and my wife to OneDrive, we both use iCloud Backup and iCloud Drive, Dropbox and Google Photos, all use large amounts of bandwidth, and we never have an issue with downloads nor uploads.

Even you pointed out that Dropbox doesn't have any issues, so maybe it's an issue with your Backblaze account? Maybe their tech support has answers?

Re: SB6121 issues with heavy uploading

The folks at backblaze point directly at Xfinity/Comcast.  Their service works - begins uploading file just fine - but sometimes after only a few minutes connection is lost.  So far it's ONLY with Backblaze... So I am going to try a bunch of others today - BOX, YouTube, and such.  I wish someone could look at the modem logs to get a better idea of specifics.  Maybe one of the Arris people could take a look?

The RF signal stats that you posted are o/k. You did not post the "error log" entries.

Re: SB6121 issues with heavy uploading

Here are some logs to look at.  I just got done with an upload test to Dropbox. after 10 or 15 min of uploading many files worth, I just stopped.  Then I switched on backblaze, it went through its creation of a file list, and began uploading... within about 15 min POW.

Can you gleen anything from this?  Is it in fact the moidem being pushed too hard by the Backblaze itself?  I pulled the plug on the router - gave it a few minutes, plugged it back in, and after a few minutes, I was reconnected.  I am beginning to think it's the backblaze App specifically that this router does not like.
