My kindle fire won't connect to my wifi either...just got a new modem and everything works fine on computer...but even though signal strength excellent and password entered correctly the kindle says "IP configuration failed". Argh.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try "forgetting" the connection and restart the Kindle. Then set the connection up as if it were new.
