ROKU problem

On all ROKU channels (amazon video, hulu, netflix) my major TV shows an error message, "HDCP unauthorized - content disabled"; all these channels do provide the title page screen and the soundtrack continues; however there is no picture. Howevere, at the same time, I can get all these features on my laptop. I have already tried various plug/unplug routines without effect.

HDCP is your HDMI cable not the network.

OP. Are you using an X1 TV / DVR device from Xfinity ?
