Option to fix issue with splitter

Looking for recommendations to resolve low download speeds as a result of a splitter. There is 1 splitter on the main line from the cable drop to the cable modem. If the splitter is removed I get expected download speeds (250 mbps) but with the splitter I get any where from 10-30 mbps. Per Comcast support they recommend to replace the splitter. Done that and no improvement. Verified the splitter is the same and is rated 5-1000mhz. The splitter is needed in the line in order to get a single to the tv cable boxes.

Re: Option to fix issue with splitter

With the splitter your upstream is too high and out of spec. You really need a tech out as there are other issues that can also affect your speeds.

Hi Fiveclarks -- The information provided by ComcastAndrew is correct. I can help get a tech out to your location. Please send me a PM with your name, full service address, and either phone number or account for authentication. I will also need to know days/times that work best for you. I will get a job setup with this information.
