New and unknown device on network

My xFi alerted me last night that a “new device called ARRIS just connected to your home network for the first time.” It happened at 11:41 pm when everyone was in bed. I don’t recognize this device. Is this a hacker? How do I block it from my system? I have it paused but do I need to “forget” the device? Should I change passwords?

Do you have a Comcast Arris gateway?
