I was too, until I found out the modem has the Intel Puma 7 chipset.

New Arris eMTA

On the DSLReports boards, there has been a bit of chat regarding the Arris DOCSIS 3.1 eMTA, the TM3402, now certified for Cox Communications, and leasing to customers.  The device is NOT a “gateway” device, and currently is not available in retail markets, only through ISP leasing to customer base.  Comcast is said to be “evaluating” the 3402, but hasn’t announced yet whether it will be approved.  Anyone here have any insight into where CC is at with the modem?
