This seems to be a common problem with Comcast.  I have not been without email for 6 days since moving my service to a new home address.  When I contacted comcast today, I was told that the ticket has been elevated (?) and that I will have to wait yet another day for someone to contact me.

Hi mrsbrink,

Let's do this:  Send an email to Detreon... I will let him know to watch for your email.  Include all of the following in the email and in the Subject line of the email, type in From mrsbrink.  Please include:

your full name, home address,  (old address and new addresss) home phone number and a phone number where you can be reached easily, your Comcast account number, and a link to this thread.  Send it to: Detreon_Roberts@comcast.com

 

Post back & let us know that the email has been sent.  thanks.

Yes I see the little envelope icon at the top of the screen that takes me to private messages.

Most likely Detreon will need your personal information and your acccount number.  Do you know how to send a Private Message?  Hang in there, Dete will help you.

Moved and Lost Access to all email accounts

We moved just a couple miles across town, but in the process were required to close our account at our old address and open a new one.   For some reason, the woman from MoversEdge who transferred our account did not correctly move all five of our email addresses.   We noticed this immediately on Tuesday after our service was turned on at the new apartment.   I chatted with a Comcast rep who assured me she would put in a ticket to fix it and it would take 24-72 hours.  Friday- still no email.  I chatted with ANOTHER rep on Friday who said there was NOTHING on our account requesting these transfers and he would have to put in ANOTHER ticket and it would now be 3-9 MORE DAYS!!!  I tried to make him understand that we had already been without email for a week due to customer service errors but he just apologized and said we had to wait.

 

Please can someone have mercy on us - its now been 12 days since we've gotten any emails and new ones are now bouncing back undeliverable.  I'm losing bank statements, billing confirmations, receipts, potential clients for my side business, and countless emails from friends and family - and NOT OUR FAULT.  We followed your rules.  Smiley Sad
