Re: Modem signals, are they fine?

Some areas still have only 2 or 3 upstream channels configured / available on the local CMTS / system.

Thanks, any reason I only have 3 upstream channels?

Modem signals, are they fine?

I am using a Netgear CM1000 on a DOCSIS 3.0 network. My service works just fine, however I was wondering if I needed a cable amp. I noticed my neighbor has one in her demarcation box.

Below is my modem signals. At peak hours of usage, when people are at home from work all downstream channels will drop to low 37 dB then they will increase to about 40 dB.downstream.pngupstream.png
