Many short outages throughout the day

Hi,

For a few months now I have been having internet outages occuring several times a day, almost every day of the week. The outages will usually last from 1-15 minutes and occur once or twice every few hours. If you go watch the modem during the outage, the Online and US/DS lights will usually go blank then start blinking as the modem trys to reconnect. This problem has happened on two different modems: one I own and a rental from Comcast I recently got after a tech telling me there was nothing else that could be done if I own my own equipment.

I have reached out for direct comcast support through Twitter and DSLReports which have resulted in 3 tech visits to my house. Every time the tech comes, says everything looks good, and they leave. The problem never gets fixed, and re-contacting just starts the same cycle over again.

I have tried monitoring my signal levels hoping to catch something that could be knocking it offline. I started to notice that during seveal times of the day the Downstream Power Levels would start to creep up to 12 dBmV. I know this is still within spec, but in desparation to try something to solve the problem I put a 6db forward pass attenuator on the line. This brought the downstream power levels down, but the outages continue. The most recent power levels are shown below.

When the internet works, it does work great, I get full speed I pay for (or even faster), but the regular micro-outages really interrupt many online services we use (gaming and streaming).

There are no excess splicers on my line. The modem is connected directly to the home-run coax line as it comes into my house, which is inside a climate-controlled closet. The outages are not associated with the air conditioning or anything like that. I used to think they were associated with temperature or time of the day, but they have recently been happning more randomly and even at night.

I live in a condo complex and online support have checked my neighbors connections and  tell me they see no disconnects and conclude the problem is isolated to me. But I have not been able to get any help in determining what the problem actaully is.

Thank you for the help!
