Re: Internet cap at 30mbps

If you want gig speed, and if it is actually available on your local system, you'll have to use a DOCSIS 3.1 capable modem like the examples that I posted.

Re: Internet cap at 30mbps

So I would have to change my modem or my plan in this case.

Nah that's not it..... They couldn't have ever even gotten 300 if they only had a 10/100 ethernet LAN...

Re: Internet cap at 30mbps

Yes it does. If a modem is not DOCSIS 3.1 capable, and you upgrade to gig, it defaults to using a Performance Tier 30/5
speed configuration file. I can't believe that a rep didn't even catch this and not tell you. We've seen it many times before here.....

Internet cap at 30mbps

I have the 1Gbp internet service, and after a chat with one of the employees, because of an issue we had with the internet, the speed now is lock to 30 mbps. Its been three weeks talking back and forth and even a technician came, said he fix the signal, nad it should be good to go. The speed still show 30 mbps.

Any help please.Gbps.PNGmy servicetest.PNGspeed test
