I just moved into a studio apartment and there is a coax and a phone line port installed in my wall. My landlord said all I need to do is call to activate. How long does it take to have my internet activated? I assume the technician doesn't have to do any drilling since I already have a coax cable installed on my wall. I assume all thats left is plugging the gateway in and having to call comcast to activate my service? That shouldn't take more than an hour right?
If the other end of that line has been disconnected from the Comcast tap / feed, the tech will need to reconnect it.
Do you already have a tech visit scheduled ?
O/k the tech will do what is necessary to get you up and running including the phone call to activate the modem / service. Good luck !
