Internet Connection Drops Every Day

My internet connection drops out every day between the hours on 10 AM-Noon EDT. Sometimes it comes back without me doing anything after 15-20 minutes. Most times I have to power-cycle my Comcast modem.

I have Comcast TV also, but the outage affects only the internet connection.

THanks

Re: Internet Connection Drops Every Day

Start with the modem's signal stats. Are they in spec ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?

Re: Internet Connection Drops Every Day

Thanks for responding.

Cable modem:   Ubee DS-3.0

Dwn pwr lvl:       11.77

Up pwr lvl:          50.00

SNR:                  Not sure where to find this. Have something called RxMer(d at 33.72

Is there anything else you need?

Re: Internet Connection Drops Every Day

Both the downstream and the upstream power levels are too high and are out of balance with respect to each other. The SNR (RxMER) is a bit low as well. It would probably be best to book a tech to come out and properly balance the line.
