I've used Thunderbird as my desktop email client for many years.
Several years ago, I changed my settings from the original POP settings to IMAP. This was to ensure that I'd be able to see emails not just on my desktop, but from my phone or tablet as well.
I've noticed something strange happening for a while...
In Thunderbird, when I move messages into a folder, those messages disappear from XFinity Webmail. Why would activity on my local IMAP client cause messages to disappear from the webmail interface? That makes them unavailable from my Xfinity client on my phone and tablet.
Do I need to revert to POP and set it to leave mail on server?
Thanks,
Cindy
In Thunderbird, are those folders under the IMAP section for Comcast, or are you moving them to Local Folders?
