I am using an I phone to connect to Comcast server with an IMAP setting. The phone has been set up for a long time and working properly. I am receiving an error message that it cannot connect to the Comcast server. I reviewed the settings on Comcast and the settings are set correctly. I sent a test email from my phone to myself. The message sent but did not pull it back off of the server (I logged into my Comcast email to check the status of the email I sent from my phone). Does anyone know what is going on?
Try changing the incoming server to imap.email.comcast.net
Please be advised that the correct setting for IMAP connections is imap.comcast.net.
While imap.email.comcast.net will work at the moment, it is not an official setting and will become unavailable in the future. Once that is removed it will cause issues for anyone using this setting.
