I want to use Dyndns but am now unable to switch DNS,

I used to use use DynDns so I could jave a dynamic Internet address. Now I can't because Comcast crippled the native control panel in all of the routers when they forced their myxfi product on everyone. Ever since it was introduced I can no longer change DNS settings nor set static IP addresses for local devices on my LAN. I tried talking to the call center people and I might as well have been speaking Swahili as everyone I spoke to was clueless about the issue.  Has anybody had anysuccess getting around this myxfi issue?

rayp40, Try factory resetting your router. Community users have posted that you can disable xFi and access the settings you had before when that is done.

Re: I want to use Dyndns but am now unable to switch DNS,

Thank you very much for your reply, KenF.  I will give it a shot first thing tomorrow when I am awake. I have discovered that making system changes after midnight can be VERY dangerous. Smiley Happy
