Re: How to force ARRIS TG1682G Modem to use 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz

Do your 2.4 and your 5.0 networks have different names ? If not, try changing the 2.4 network name to something else and have the printer associate with that new 2.4 name (SSID).

How to force ARRIS TG1682G Modem to use 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz

I have the new ARRIS TG1682G modem and I need to have it stay on 2.4 GHz for my computer to communicate wirelessly with my HP 8600 Plus Printer (it only uses 2.4 GHz). I can connect the printer on 2.4 GHz to the modem, but cannot make the computer connect at 2.4 GHz ... as the modem automatically switches it to 5 GHz as best band to use. How can I force the modem to let me connect my computer at 2.4 GHz so I can print wireless? Thanks.
