How do I setup a ethernet access point for wifi

Just got  connected with xfinity internet.  I want to  set up a wifi  access point in my living room using the  cat 5 ethernet cable running from the  xfinity moldem/router to the living room.   Help me out.  What specific access point  should I purchase to make this task easy? thanks

Setting up a ethernet-bridged wireless backhaul is not that hard. Pretty much any modern consumer router will do exactly what you want it to do, as long as you set it up correctly (most will have installation software to walk you through the process). You can also get a dedicated WiFi Access Point like the Ubiquiti UniFi to do the job (though this is probably more than what you need). .
