Home Office Setup

My existing modem and router are next to the TV downstairs. However, I want to set up a home office upstairs and would prefer a direct connect via eithernet cable. I have a coax port in the office already. Could I just get an additional modem from Comast and connect it to the existing upstairs port? Or is additional wiring needed?

Re: Home Office Setup

If you have a Comcast gateway device that is MoCA enabled, you can use your coax and a MoCA adapter to get internet to your office. Or you could use two MoCA adapters: router>ethernet>adapter>coax>adapter>ethernet.

I am not an employee.
