I have a Mac that is infected with virus. I have Xfinity's Norton installed. I wonder why Norton didn't catch it, but most important, how can I get rid of it?

Re: Hellosearch

Hi bobllove,

This malware is considered a hijacker and is usually installed as part of another program because the user did not read the fine print during the installation of a program they desired.  This type of program is known as a PUP (Potenitally Unwanted Program).  Norton's does not remove a lot of PUPs as some of these programs are in fact desired by the user.
