Local area: Loveland, CO
Local Comcast hub: Longmont, CO / Denver, CO
Intenet package: Blast! Pro/Extreme 250, package details in My Account specify 200 Mbps
Local network: Arris DOCSIS 3.0 modem, Netgear Nighthawk 802.11ac router
Local connection link speed: Gigabit, lowest speed seen is 550+ Mbps
Time of test: 7:20 PM, MST, 12/12/2017
When I run the speed test at Comcast, I get some pretty odd results. Suprisingly, the download speed is not the fastest of the five tests I ran (Comcast, Speedtest.net, Speedof.me, Speakeasy, and DSL Reports), it was 103.53 Mbps. But the upload speed was 88.65 Mbps! What??? That's not even possible on cable internet. Maybe if I was on fiber, but if I was on Comcast fiber I would paying ten times what i pay. All the other tests showed an average upload of around 12 Mbps except for DSL Reports which reported a speed of 8.29 Mbps.
What the heck is going on with Comcast that they would be reporting an upload of 88.65 Mbps???
Hi, BoxFreind - The Blast Pro package comes as 200.0 Mbps down / 10.0 Mbps up. If you got 88.65 Mbps for upload - it could be a bug or issue with the speed test website. Have you tried to run another test?
