I've installed a Netgear CM700 DOCSIS 3.0 on my Xfinity internet service and I'm using EERO's second generation wifi. Long story short. 3 days ago, I started having wild fluctuations in my internet speeds from 0 - 243 on Download and 0 - 14 on upload.
Question: I've noticed that Comcast Houston is only locking 28 Down and 4 up channels of the 32/8 I have available. Does this cause issues? Netgear tech though it might.
Question 2: When I was done trouble shooting with EERO, Xfinity, Netgear, I came back around with some facts from Netgear. The upload signal was on the high side and causing the internet up speeds to die off at the end of tests. Also, the above comments about the locking channels. Xfinity is sending a tech tomorrow because, evidentily the node in my hood is "sick." Any other thougths of what can be causing the internet disconnects? Everything else in my network has checked out twice.

Its happening again. It started after a firewall push by Xfinity about a month ago. Neighbors are expereiencing similar inconsistent connection.
here is the Net Gear event log:
FWIW, so 4 months later, the signal stats are still o/k.
Looks like you have some FEC errors going on there. Reboot your modem and watch the "uncorrectables" if they start adding up quickly it's a clue that there is an RF error someplace. Also, your event logs are also indicating an issue as well. Since we can't see a lot of info from just your modem...
I've asked an employee to check the CMTS for real-time and historical RF signal reports from your modem. They can also check your local Node/Plant for any degradation or error reports.
OnTheFly1, let's check those signals. Please send me a private message with your full name and account related phone number for help.
