Extending Wifi Range

My modem is located on the lower floor in a corner of the house. I require access a lot up a floor in the opposite corner. Simple signal boosters don't seem to work and I'm wondering about solutions. I have a coax connection about 10 feet away, but no modem or LAN connection there. Can that wire be somehow utilized to create a closer connection or do I need to have Xfinity run a new cable for hard wiring? Other options I haven't thought of?

MoCA adapters may be a solution for you. You can Google the aforementioned for more info.
