It seems as if the POP and/or IMAP interfaces for the mail (using Thunderbird) are not working properly. I am getting server errors and timeouts trying to get my mail. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Even the web mail is acting flaky. This is 10/17, 9:00am CDT, Chicago area. Getting mail from other sources is working perfectly fine.
Same here in Chicago near-west suburbs. Accessing the Comcast email servers is slow and I get timeouts both sending and receiving. The problem started Monday 10/16. Still bad as of 11:30 a.m. CDT on 10/17. I don't mind if there's an occasional slowdown because of server maintenance, but I wish Comcast would let us know about it -- if that's what's going on.
