Re: Download speed

How are you downloading the files?  Are you using an FTP program by chance?

Re: Download speed

Comcast does not throttle anything. Your problem lies elsewhere. Are you having issues with more than one website? What equipment are you using? Are you downloading over WiFi or hardwired?

Download speed

I get fast speedtest results. No problems there. My problem is when I want to download video files of 500MB up to 9GB , my download speeds drop down to dial up speeds. Im talking 30 and 40kbps  !  My download times are in the DAYS ! Even the smallest files take 7 to 9 HOURS !  I can go to my laptop and hotspot off my cellphone account and be done in 20 minutes ! Which is what I have had to do for the past week ! Im forced to use a thumb drive and transfer the files to my desktop from the laptop in this manner ! My question is , does Xfinity throttle my download speeds on large files. Yes or No ? Please.SLOW DOWNLOADS.jpg
