Re: Disable MoCA on XB6

It seems like instead of having to purchase a filter I should just be able to disable MoCA on the modem with the button that is already there. Everytime I try to disable it just times out for some reason.

Re: Disable MoCA on XB6

Hi @erferris72

Think of your MoCA adapters as being their own little network. You need to separate that network from the modem. You do this with a MoCA filter.  The filter goes between your modem and your little network.

Disable MoCA on XB6

I have been trying to disable MoCA on my XB6 device using the Admin interface but have been unsuccessful.  Is this something that we need to ask Xfinity Support to do?

The reason I want to disable it is because i already have my own MoCA adapters in place (which i prefer) and if you have them both on the coax network it causes the XB6 to reboot itself.  Maybe you can only have 1 MoCA network at a time?
