Devices with static IP addresses dont show up in xFi

For a project i'm working on i needed to assign a static ip address to a machine of mine on my wifi network. I have assigned this Ip address in the Xfinity router.

Now i need to port forward a certain port to this machine.

1. I cannot longer just add a port to a fixed Ip in the router software.

2. My device doesnt show up in xFi web pages, so i cannot select my device to port forward to.

My machine with the static ip is perfectly connected to the internet before you ask.

What happened with simple static router software and why make it so complex and on the otherhand so completly useless to manage my own home network.

Try turning off the firewall on the target machine to rule that the firewall might be blocking the port you forwarding to.
